Slings- Why Sling Carriers Are Widely Accepted

Slings carriers are of immense value for  parents with small infants  while traveling  or at work .  With the baby  comfortably tugged in slings,  you can move around freely unconcerned about  his comfort.

Slings are known to be in use  for centuries, but it  was accepted  as a preferred baby carrier by the  modern society only recently. Although, it took  society this far to accept slings,  its potential benefits have boosted its popularity  since then.

The major  advantage is the the comfort  both  the baby and the wearer  get from using a sling. The baby gets the most preferred posture in a sling  so close to his mother. This proximity has a calming influence on the growing  baby, besides leading to create more of a bond between parent and child.

While traveling, the baby remains very relaxed  in a sling, because of the soothing effect of your body. The nearness also helps you understand the needs of your child even through its  slight movements.  It so happens that more often slings serve as a medium of communication between the child and wearer.

While on a long walk you can balance the weight of your child by adjusting the position of the sling .  This will make both you and baby more comfortable.  By a little practice,  you can also place your baby on the hip, the belly, or even on the back to suit your convenience.

Another advantage is that  the mother can nurse her baby while in the sling, providing both privacy and mobility. Further, the sling can be adjusted so that the baby can also nurse  himself.

Obviously, slings are most often used for carrying small infants . But its use  is normally extended throughout the first year of the baby or sometime up to he reaches the level of a toddler.

Using slings for a big baby will become tiresome. So, and most parents opt for a stroller at that stage. Despite these advantages, some parents may find that sling carriers are not as comfortable compared to other types of baby carriers.  Obviously,  for parents with  inherent back pain or related problems, slings are  not the suitable  type of baby carrier
